July - The idea of 'Glucose Vision' is born after winning 1st place at an Innovation in Healthcare Competition hosted at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, ON.
September - 'Glucose Vision' is accepted into the Innovation Boost Zone (IBZ) start-up incubator.
November - 'Glucose Vision' is awarded Stage 1 of the Norman Esch Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards successfully demonstrating a novel idea addressing a current problem.
June - 'Glucose Vision' is awarded Stage 2 of the Norman Esch Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards successfully demonstrating formal market research and a proven demand in the market.
December - 'Glucose Vision' is awarded the final Stage 3 of the Norman Esch Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards successfully completing a formal business plan and MVP.

February - Glucose Vision Inc. is announced as a nationally recognized semi-finalist in Canada's TELUS Innovation Challenge held at the University of Calgary.
March -  Glucose Vision Inc. begins Phase 1 of R&D for the backend algorithm after being awarded 12-months of Mitacs funding, 
and collaboration agreement with SOSCIP. 
October - Glucose Vision Inc. is announced as an international top 11 competitors in the Cigna Innovation Challenge in collaboration with MATTER. 
January - Glucose Vision Inc. is announced as the top 15 competitors in the Queens Entrepreneurs' Competition (QEC).
February - Glucose Vision Inc. is accepted into the Biomedical Zone BACE Accelerator stream in partner with Unity Health Toronto.
December - Glucose Vision Inc. completes  three apprentice employment terms and thanks them for their extraordinary work!

We  are each early in our engineering careers, passionate about improving the quality of life for as many individuals as possible through new innovative ideas. We want to apply what we learned in the classroom and in industry to make real impacts.

Why Diabetes?​

We have many individuals in our lives with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including family and friends. After learning what they struggle with, we want to help improve their quality of life along with all others!
